Sacraments

Baptism

Baptisms will be scheduled after the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday or 8:00 a.m. Mass on Sundays, unless otherwise arranged. Baptisms may be scheduled during Mass if the parents request it. Please contact Caleb Mitchell at the Parish Office to set up a baptism and arrange for a baptismal prep course for first time parents.

Baptism of adults requires the completion of the RCIA program. Please notify Fr. Michael if you would like to become Catholic through RCIA.

Confirmation

All high school students are invited to attend Sunday night High School Nights with the Xavier Mission Team!  These nights consist of both faith and fun.  Specific Confirmation preparation classes run January through November and include parents too!

The sacrament of Confirmation for adults is celebrated as a part of the RCIA program.

First Eucharist

Typically, First Eucharist is celebrated in Second Grade.  Children must be suitably instructed and properly disposed prior to receiving this most important sacrament.  To contribute to that, children participate in one full year of catechetical formation the year prior to receiving the sacrament and another year of catechetical formation in the year concurrent with the reception of the sacrament.    Separate classes to specifically prepare for First Penance and First Communion are held on weekends and include parental involvement.

Children in older grades will be invited to partake at the Lord's Table after completing a preparation program modified for their age and needs.

Reconciliation

Marriage

All couples who are planning to get married are encouraged to contact the parish at least six months prior to your wedding.  While a tentative date for your wedding may be set at any time, the confirmation of that date is dependent upon the completion of the Marriage Preparation Program.  This program offers the opportunity to meet with the pastor, and the option of two day-long retreats sponsored by the Diocese of Madison.  Please call the parish office to initiate this program or check available dates.

Anointing of the Sick

The sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is encouraged for all elderly and anyone who is experiencing a life-challenging struggle and is in need of physical or emotional healing. Individuals may request the sacrament at anytime by calling the rectory at 987-2026. If it is an emergency, please contact our emergency line that is attached to the Rectory voicemail.

Holy Orders

Please contact Fr. Michael if you are contemplating the call to religious life.
